These free Wednesday evening classes are offered by teachers and long-term students of gestalt practice and are open to anyone who is interested in learning more about this approach.
Steve Harper, with TGC staff, will present “Grounding and Centering in the Gestalt Practice Tradition” on November 6.
In this introductory evening meeting, Steven will present simple yet profound practices designed to access our capacity to innovate and participate with our organisms’ essential ability for self-regulation. Through demonstration, work in pairs, physical practices, and direct experience, we draw on inspiration from Gestalt Practice, aikido, and contemporary somatic practices that offer ways of centering, grounding, and knowing our embodied belonging. Consider the evening a “lab” — a place to play, experiment, and make inquiry into the process of discovering our unique paths to grounding and centering.
