Gail Stewart teaches in the Rigpa Spiritual Care Education Program, which offers training and care in the area of living and dying. Having a long history studying and teaching bodywork of various kinds, the process of ceasing life in a body is also of deep interest to her.
Gail Stewart was fortunate to be in Milton Trager’s first class, at Esalen Institute, in 1975. She was a student of Dr. Trager until his death in 1997, and has been a Trager® Instructor for more than 30 years. Her background includes founding and teaching in a California-approved school of massage and bodywork, between 1982 and 2003. She trained in Somatic Therapy with Peter Levine. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Gail has a private practice in Berkeley, California, and travels internationally to teach The Trager Approach.
