Open Seat is a practice where an individual is supported in using the tools of Gestalt Awareness Practice to contact their moment-to-moment experience. As part of this, students may explore sensations and emotion, face life situations past and present, or develop their ability for self-expression and communication. Investigating dreams is a very engaging part of this approach. Whatever the content, open seat is an interactive form of meditation and the goal is to become more present and in touch with our selves and our world.
This workshop is open to those who have attended a previous Gestalt Awareness Practice workshop with Chris. Each person in the workshop will have an opportunity to use the open seat with the support of Chris and the circle. Periods of basic practice, continuum of awareness, and group sharing will be included.
Completing the Introduction to Gestalt Awareness Practice course qualifies participation in the Open Seat Intensive.
